Gorgeous car in gorgeous colors. Only an Esprit could pull of yellow wheels so nicely.

I was going to mention the same thing. I remember it being in one of the first issues of Car And Driver that I bought back in the day.

I knew there were more than 20 esprits made, hell I saw at least two this weekend, so I had to take to the google to find out more about it. I guess it was mostly just appearance, no real drivetrain overhauls.

Awesome! I wondered about that, but I hadn't gotten around to looking it up yet. Thanks!

For nostalgia's sake, I wish I could find the article online. From what I remember, it was basically just appearance. BRG with Lotus yellow pinstripes & wheels, a numbered plaque, etc.

Those things are gorgeous, my only gripe about it is from the time I drove a Turbo. There was no possible way to drive it with size 11 shoes on. I happily drove it barefoot but there was just no room near the pedal cluster for anything.

You can clearly tell it's a Corolla from the tail lights.............

I have 10s, so maybe I'd be ok? I'd absolutely give up shoes to drive it if necessary. So cool.
